Wedding Budget Planner
Set a total budget or a guest count, and see how it typically splits across venue, catering, drinks, photography and everything else — the UK way.
A general guide. This planner is for fun and general planning only — a general guide to typical UK wedding spending, not a fixed budget, quote or financial advice. Actual costs vary hugely by location, guest count and choices.
Set a budget or guest count to see the split
Enter a total budget, or a guest count, and we'll break it down across all the typical UK wedding categories.
How the wedding budget split works
We take your total budget — either entered directly, or worked out from your guest count multiplied by a cost per head — and split it across the categories couples typically spend on for a UK wedding: venue hire, catering, drinks, photography and video, attire, flowers, entertainment, rings, transport, cake, stationery, favours, hair and makeup, and a contingency buffer for the unexpected. Choose a tier to scale the whole budget up or down for a more modest or more lavish day. These percentages are typical splits, not a fixed formula — every wedding is different, and you should treat this as a starting point for your own planning.
