How this tip calculator works
Enter the bill total, choose a tip percentage (10%, 12.5%, 15% and 20% are common in the UK, or enter a custom amount), and the number of people splitting the bill. We add the tip to the bill to get the grand total, then divide that by the number of people to get an equal share each. Tipping in the UK is discretionary — check your bill first, as many restaurants already add a service charge.
