How the duration is calculated
We work out the exact calendar span between your two dates, total days, total weeks with any remainder days, and a years/months/days breakdown that matches how you'd naturally describe the gap. Turn on "Include the end date" to count both the first and last day as whole days (for example, Monday to Friday inclusive is 5 days rather than 4), this only changes the day and week totals, not the years/months/days breakdown, which is always the exact span between the two dates.
