What's included in the cost of buying a home

Buying a home costs more than just the deposit. On top of the price, you'll typically pay Stamp Duty (or LBTT in Scotland, LTT in Wales), legal/conveyancing fees, a survey, a mortgage arrangement fee, a lender's valuation, local authority and water searches, a Land Registry registration fee, and removals.
