How bathroom renovation costs are calculated
Bathroom cost is driven by three things: the finish tier (budget, mid-range or premium sanitaryware and taps), the room size (a small cloakroom costs far less than a large family bathroom), and how much tiling you need. We price the suite by tier and size, add tiling at a supply-and-fit rate per square metre, add full-refit labour for a plumber, tiler and electrician (priced by room size), and a flat allowance for strip-out and waste removal. Treat the result as a starting point for budgeting — always get itemised quotes from local tradespeople, as moving pipework, uneven floors and access can all change the price.
