Credit Utilisation Calculator
See what percentage of your available credit you're using on each card and overall, whether that's helping or hurting your credit score, and exactly how much to pay down to reach a healthier level.
Not financial advice. This is a general guide, not financial advice — credit scoring varies by lender and credit reference agency, and utilisation is only one of several factors. If you're struggling with card balances, free, independent help is available from MoneyHelper (moneyhelper.org.uk) and StepChange (stepchange.org).

How utilisation is calculated
Utilisation is simply your balance divided by your credit limit, expressed as a percentage — worked out for each card individually, and again overall by adding up every balance and every limit across all your cards. Paying down to a target percentage means bringing the balance down to exactly that share of the limit: for example, 25% of a £1,000 limit is a £250 balance, so a £900 balance would need paying down by £650 to hit that target.
