How to convert a salary between pay periods

To convert an annual salary to other periods: monthly pay is the annual figure divided by 12; weekly pay is divided by the number of weeks you work in a year (52 for most employees, fewer for term-time-only roles); daily pay is the weekly figure divided by 5 working days; and hourly pay is the weekly figure divided by your contracted hours per week. Pro-rata pay for a part-time role is calculated as the full-time salary multiplied by your part-time hours divided by full-time hours — for example, 22.5 hours of a 37.5-hour full-time week is 60% of the full-time salary.
